Why didn't anyone tell me that Facebook was so much better than MySpace?

An irl friend of mine was trying to get me to go on facebook. I told her my reasons for not joining facebook or myspace and said that if she could present a compelling, logical rational case for me doing so that overrode my reasons, I would consider it.

I knew I'd won before she even replied. Holly is not a rational thinker. Her first "argument" was "OMG Facebook is SO much better than MySpace!!!".

Polish a turd, it's still a turd.

Your point is taken. Facebok really is better than MySpace. Much cleaner, less cluttered, and no porn sites trying to friend you 30 times a day.

I seem to recall telling you, Rufus, that I had a Facebook page, but do not recall you actually asking if it was better than MySpace, soooo... ;-)

It's not. MySpace is that annoying loudmouth kid some people think is funny but is really just a dick. Facebook is the better presented kid, polite, neat, who later breaks into your house, steals your tv and credit cards.

I mean I don't recall MySpace ever making it a policy to install spyware on their users computers. But then again I guess some people might be into being on the receiving end of shit like that, in which case yeah. Facebook is awesome!

I've noticed myspace is starting to look more and more like facebook as time goes on... and to my horror, so now is last.fm. Okay I know web 2.0 is the latest and greatest thing, but to me... it's starting to feel a bit like the reality tv of the internet.
